Caribbean is kiiiinda windy today ... scary windy!

Hi everyone. I hope your day is going well. I'm head-first into article marketing for my real estate books today -- http://www.e-junkie.com/stonecottagebooks.  Caribbean is kiiiinda windy (scary windy!) at this moment. Hope I don't lose internet connection.

I'm being asked for sequel to Loving a Texan from New Orleans ...  http://www.amazon.com/Loving-Texan-New-Orleans-ebook/dp/B00BB1BBC8/ref=la_B005BU7Y44_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1369846921&sr=1-4  will jot down some storyline ideas for Part II this afternoon, too -- it's my best seller, yet.

Enjoy your day … back to the article at hand.

Hope you had a great holiday weekend ...

Hi everyone ... I hope you had a great holiday weekend. Mine was good, though I worked quite a bit. Grateful for the writing projects, so no complaints.  This morning I'm finishing up a client SEO project (one of my businesses http://www.seorealestatewriter.com); then, on to New Country: The Lawtons writing https://www.facebook.com/cassandrablackauthor/photos_stream#!/photo.php?fbid=375567712564769&set=pb.317638188357722.-2207520000.1369847173.&type=3&theater.

Already completed some internet marketing via SBA's website; sent quote to possible new SEO client; advertised my real estate book line (http://www.e-junkie.com/stonecottagebooks); and handled my tweeting and general small business admin tasks.

Whew; being a solo entrepreneur teaches you to wear many hats (and to get up early -- at it since 6:00 a.m.); but the rewards faaaaar outweigh the toil ... and, you know, that "being able to steer your own vessel" aspect of entrepreneurship is kind of neat.

Still in Negril (http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2013/05/writing-on-verandah-at-villa-in-negril.html); back to Atlanta soon.

Enjoy your day, and make some good stuff happen! (Oh, check out my latest fiction release below!)

Up, up, up, since before 6:00 A.M. Releasing ads for foreclosure cleanup business books and forms (http://www.e-junkie.com/stonecottagebooks); ...

after, two hours of New Country writing (http://www.shewrites.com/profiles/blogs/ahhh-loving-the-morning-re-working-on-new-book-series-of-novellas?xg_source=activity); ...

then, SEO client project  (my real estate writing side biz for few years now ... http://www.seorealestatewriter.com/).

Busy Friday, but blessed to be earning my keep writing, writing, writing.

Have a super holiday weekend. :)

(Btw, lot of people happened into Negril (http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2013/05/god-has-given-us-another-beautiful.html) last night ... road busier last night and hotel more "full up," re: holiday I'm assuming ... enjoy! Hope to get some gurrrl fun in later this evening.)

In Negril villa, doing some article marketing for ***NEW RELEASE*** Samantha's Cravings ...

I hope your day is going well. I'm in a villa in Negril, Jamaica (http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2013/04/the-caribbean-sea-is-gorgeous-today.html) doing some article marketing for my ***NEW RELEASE*** Samantha's Cravings, http://www.amazon.com/Samanthas-Cravings-ebook/dp/B00CVMPK00/ref=la_B005BU7Y44_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1368977187&sr=1-9

Currently circulating this editorial:

7 Real Reasons Women Cheat

Women cheat because men won't do the dishes; that's one school of thought.  But many experts say women are more likely to be unfaithful due to emotional reasons. See some reasons for why women cheat below.

Reasons Women are Unfaithful

According to a WebMD editorial, below are some reasons women may be unfaithful to their partner:

  1. they are being taken for granted by their mate;
  2. they feel a sense of loneliness;
  3. not feeling connected, close, to their partner;
  4. to get attention, affection;
  5. to transition out of a bad marriage;
  6. for comfort during vulnerability or life change;
  7. as a cry for help in a bad marriage.

Why Men Cheat

Conversely, Helen Fisher, a Rutgers University biological anthropologist, indicates males are more likely to list sexual motivation as their main reason for infidelity, versus many of the emotional catalysts for women listed above.

Women and Infidelity:  It Doesn't "Just Happen"

Though the opinion that some men may not "help around the house" as much as his mate would like (i.e., doing the dishes) may not be the overriding reason a woman ultimately chooses to seek the company of another man, it may, indeed, be the final straw that breaks the camel's back in many female infidelity stories.

Generally, with women, affairs don't just happen.  Usually, a series of events, which may happen over a number of years, will push a woman into the arms of another man.

For example, in Samantha's Cravings, a novel by Cassandra Black / Amber Creek about a married woman journeying through a mid-life crisis and ultimately falling in love with her lover, a series of events leads to Samantha's transgressions with Frank, versus one specific incident.  And emotional infidelity rears its head long before the physical. See http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CVMPK00.

The female gender will more likely struggle with the idea of being unfaithful for an extended period of time before they choose to ultimately go out and have an affair. Many experts point out that women tend to think long and hard about cheating before they actually take that leap.

How to Get Past It: Relationship Survival after an Affair

Most professionals advise seeking the help of a competent professional after infidelity issues in a relationship. Though it can be difficult, many believe it is possible to heal a relationship after a wife cheating or husband cheating scenario -- if both parties are willing to be open and honest and do the hard work required to keep them together.

Questions of True Love: Does It Really Exist

Does True Love Really Exist?

Does true love really exist? You know, the kismet kind. The kind that envelopes two spirits before they've even met; the kind Shakespeare must have been writing about in Romeo and Juliet; the kind that makes you give up everything familiar, moral, safe, to walk in the direction of destiny.

Though true love appears to be an under-researched topic, Dr. Dennis Neder, an ordained minister and doctor of metaphysics, does advise love has three phases: the infatuation stage, the bonding stage and the familiar stage. He says it helps to consider all three phases when trying to figure out whether or not it's the real thing.

But, if it's true love, does it warrant dissecting and breaking down into stages? Do you have to consider anything at all; or, is it just “so”?

One Discovery.com author wrote there are nine ways to tell if the love you have for your partner is the real thing:

1. You feel good.
2. You look forward to spending time with your partner.
3. You respect your partner.
4. You're interested in what your partner thinks.
5. You accept your partner's quirks.
6. You're able to work through your problems.
7. You feel safe. (You're not afraid of losing your partner.)
8. You can't explain why you're together.
9. You don't compare your partner to others.

“True love is when you care enough for another person to allow them the space and time they need to become all they can be,” says Christiane Northrup, M.D., author of Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom (Bantam, 1998).

Kathlyn Hendricks, Ph.D., and Gay Hendricks, Ph.D., authors of Everlasting Love, say true love occurs when you shift from unconscious commitment to conscious commitment.
But is it really that clinical?

Cassandra Black, the author of Samantha's Cravings (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CVMPK00) a new novel about love, laced with improper timing, infidelity, choices and consequences, says she is a simple romanticist.

“I believe true love exists. Of course it does,” says Black. “But I think we are so numb in society today that many of us wouldn't recognize it if it bopped us over the head. Maybe it has been relegated to medieval times. We live in a too-fast society, riddled with rote, which is often the hurdle to subconscious, fateful wanderings of the heart.”

Ms. Black says when doing research for her book, she interviewed several women who talked about that one special someone. “Everyone knows who that one true love is in their lives if they've met them. But it takes courage to choose them; courage often strapped by fear and society's characterization of morality.”

Ahhh ... loving the morning re: working on new book ...

Ahhh ... loving the morning re: working on new book ... series of novellas about black love post the Civil War, through Reconstruction ... First book (working on today) -- New Country: The Lawtons. I pray God guide me on this journey; for He knows this one was not conceived by me, rather planted ... Guide me, Lord.

Exercise Plans for the Day:  Got caught in rainstorm yesterday. My sneakers are on the verandah, still drying ... so gonna try to tie up by 3:30 PM and get back out there. Only walked 2.5 of my anticipated seven miles yesterday before all hell broke loose over the Caribbean Sea (http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2013/05/having-absolute-ball-in-caribbean.html). Try, try, try again... back at it today. Fingers crossed; I dunno what will happen re: it's rainy season in Jamaica. Should have gotten out earlier.

Enjoy your week, EXERCISE, and, as usual, make some good stuff happen.

Up until after 2:00 AM writing last night ...

Good Thursday morning. Up until after 2:00 AM writing last night. At it again this morning. Will try to work straight through today. Self-imposed deadline. Little headache from too much computer last couple of days, but I'm pleased with the progress of current work.

The week is flying by. Few more weeks in Jamaica, then time to go back to Atlanta to face I'm sure a yard that needs my attention -- and hopefully some blooming crepe myrtles. (I know my rose bushes are showing out already. Hopefully my cedars have had a real growth spurt.)

I'll need a good walk end of day by sea. Hopefully to celebrate the release of my next work.  Enjoy your day. Let me get down to it.  Until next time ...

Negril lot clearing a success yesterday ...

Good morning ... getting late start today. Up middle of night; paying for it today.

Yesterday the lot clearing went great (see http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2013/05/god-has-given-us-another-beautiful.html for background). The man I'm using even burned most of the brush left from chopping a week or so ago. Land is shaping up nicely. Today, he will need to flag down a garbage truck to pick up the pile of debris and add a temporary security door to front of the cement room. Luckily, the property had a block room on it. This is a blessing considering the block I'm losing from last lot.  (God is my friend.)

This cement room, which has a large tile shower in place already, will act as the bath and tiny kitchen.  After misc litter is raked from the yard, that will complete the work today on the lot. Have not dragged my cottage down there yet from last lot. May hold off until next trip, but we'll see. Still have a few more weeks on the island.

Doing a little admin this morning, then my walk, then back on computer writing until I check on work end of day down there.

Slightly overcast this morning. By the time I suit up for my walk (in just a few), I hope sun is hot, hot, hot.

Enjoy your day ... until next time ...
