Managed to walk a few miles shy of twenty this weekend .... whew!

Walked My Butt Off this Weekend ...

I hope your week started off on the right foot today. Pretty good on this end. Walked "mi" behind off this weekend -- it was a mental test of sorts ... I managed to complete a few miles shy of 20. Getting older (pushing 50 ... 47 and counting!) so I felt EVERY step in Carib sun. But it was a good workout, all over Negri ... Deep West, "hills," beyond 7-mile Beach, roundabout, home. Fun and exhausting ... 


Three New Books in the Works

Let's see, I have three new projects in the works -- one of which is an African American "traditional" romance that I'm very excited about releasing. I've written AA fiction before, but NOT traditional romance. Can't wait to finish this one. "Likkle" more work (practicing mi patwah since I'm planted firmly in the country and starting to feel like a Jamerican, as we're called)!  Going thru work permit second year renewal process, tax compliance, etc., so finally embracing my new home fully.  Right in thick of it, but I digress. Sorry. "Likkle" more work, then CNN and bed. I'm tired.

At Canoe's on beach, writing ...

I hope you're having a great Tuesday. At Canoe's on beach, writing. Internet went out in Negril yesterday at my place after big thunderstorm. Yup; still out. It's an island, so I'm used to it, but hopefully it'll be back on when I get back in. Few more hours of work. 

 Exercise already finished -- walked up cliffs near Rick's Cafe to check on my cottage (time to have the guy mow, again) and took a nice little break by the sea (old photo of cottage and sea attached ... fav spot in Negril!).

Loving a Texan from New Orleans, Part 5
I hope your Sunday is going well.  I'm working on Part 5 of "Loving a Texan from New Orleans."  Part 1 was one of the very first multicultural romance novels I penned. Though the characters are fictional, the story was inspired by a real trip to Texas a few years back. I didn't know anything about writing romance, but "these people" kept talking to me as I got lost trying to make my way from DFW in my little rental car on that first trip. Night was -fast falling and thankfully country music kept me from wigging out as I made wrong turns on darkening, desolate roads. Soon thereafter, it all made sense, because "Loving a Texan from New Orleans" was born ...
