Switzerland, Italy, France ...

I hope you you're having a great day! Things good in the romance writing world on this end. Finally, long-time dream come true:  Heading to Europe next year for one of those multi-country tours. Have been researching for a bit and have finally landed on the perfect, budget-friendly tour, which will include Switzerland, Italy, France, and a few other countries. This trip will be research for a new line of novellas I've been conceptualizing for a long while now.

Can't wait to share the experience and see the books come to life!

Loving the U.S. Virgin Islands!

Exploring St. Croix for a Month
I hope your weekend was great! I'm in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Should be here about a month before heading back to Jamaica to work on my writers' cottage in Negril (video of cottage moving:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pEWafGOyt8; relative post: http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2014/06/praying-for-rain-for-my-baby-palm-trees.html).   Loving our American Paradise! Feel sooooo relaxed here ... people are so nice and accommodating. Have been snooping around land lots, dreaming right now, and really like what I see ... few photos of walking mainly downtown Christiansted, St. Croix, and exploring seaview land on the North Shore below.

Getting Down to Romance Novel Writing
It's the Monday after the 4th of July holiday weekend, and I'm getting down to work on the next romance novel in progress.  I'm getting ready for a second cup of coffee and working on Surrender to Ryan (due out soon ... get to know Ryan Colby from the Loving Logan series ... see previous post about the coming multicultural romance novel:  http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2014/06/surrender-to-ryan.html).

Condo Finally "Wired," Yes!
The past week has been hectic, but all good stuff. Had a time getting internet in the condo unit I'm staying in on the East End of St. Croix, so have been all over hunting signals. Finally, the unit is wired, yes, and I can stay in and just work during the morning ... will venture out for exercise a little later and hopefully hit pool.

Preparing for St. Croix (USVI)

I hope you’re having a great day.  I've been busy on this end tying up things in Negril, preparing for my long-awaited journey to explore the U.S. Virgin Islands (leaving Jamaica in about a week for St. Croix). I will miss my “pretty Jamaica!” Been in Negril since January, but it still seems like the time is winding down too fast. But I’ll be back soon … “Soon come!” as my Jamaican friends say.  Soon come … Until then, Jamaica -- and my little cottage in Negril -- will be on my mind … Enjoy the rest of your day.

Yoo-hoo! Rain Finally Came in Negril ...

The rain finally came yesterday in Negril... (See related post:  http://cassandra-black-author.blogspot.com/2014/06/praying-for-rain-for-my-baby-palm-trees.html.) I knew once I got out to exercise, it would pour. My "rain dance" worked.  Glad for it! More new plants should go in the ground later today at my cottage.   Luckily, I’m able to use my neighbor’s gardener to pierce that Fred Flintstone-like bedrock with a pickaxe for the planting -- re: it took me a full hour to plant just two palm trees by myself with a shovel. That coral is too hard. Will be pretty once everything matures and blooms around the cottage. Can’t wait!

Praying for Rain for My Baby Palm Trees at “My Little Cottage in Negril” …

Hi, I hope your day is going well.  I'm in my studio doing one of my favorite things:  looking out at the Caribbean Sea.

Cloudy today, but no rain on the West End in Negril, Jamaica for daaaays now. We've had little spots here and there, but I think, think, think -- hope! -- we get a good shower today. I planted some new baby palm trees at my little cottage down from Rick’s Café, http://www.rickscafejamaica.com/, and the last time I peeked, they were, well, let’s just say, kinda “crispy.” I also have 18 bougainvillea in pots ready to go in the ground, but it’s so dry.
