My Morning in Jamaica ... Writing Inspiration in Tropics 

Good morning. I hope your day is off to a good start. I'm having coffee, working on "Loving Logan, PART 3" (part of romance novel series), due out next week.  Hope to finish up by late afternoon so I can get a looooong walk in down Beach Road. Have fallen off my walking a bit re: slight muscle pull and working. Easing back into though. Getting pudgy!  

Will be in Caribbean another few months before heading off to USVI (St. Croix) for a couple of months ... (snooping around land, land, land. Just snooping) ... Getting lots of inspiration in this tropical place... Romance novel ideas are flowing!  (Want to write by the sea?  See Resources for Writing by the Sea at the end of this post.)

Will hit fish market today. Tons of "fresh catch," right out of the Caribbean Sea ...

Wow, it's Friday. The week flew by. Good weekend on tap. Looking forward to a Caribbean friend cooking fish, fish, fish at my place on Sunday. Will hit fish market today.  Tons of “fresh catch,” right out of the sea, at the little market on Beach Road.  I think we’ll have butter fish … if not, tuna. Let’s see what they have in my budget.

Today, I’m on day two of editing my next romance novella: Finding Love in Sweetwater Cove, due out middle of next week [update:  almost there; upload Friday, 3/14/14].  Getting a late start today, but on purpose. Last couple of days, I've cranked to get Sweetwater Cove written. (This one’s longer than most of my romance novellas, but the characters kept talking …)

Earlier, I had a nice what should have been veggie omelet, but my skillet sticks, so it was really scrambled eggs and veggies. Yum, though! :) Just popped my vitamin and gnawed my daily garlic clove -- and water's brewing for my green tea. Been good to the body so far this morning... :)

Hope to finish up early so I can get a long, "slow" walk in today. Pulled something in my leg about a week ago, but I'm feeling almost new again, so I look forward to a good stretch out without the limp.  Gorgeous day in Negril.  My apartment door is open and the Caribbean Sea is very calm out there in the distance.  The only sound I hear now is my ceiling fan humming above -- and those three pigeons making that little almost gurgling sound they make on the apt. balcony next to my unit.  (Neighbors had reggae music going for about an hour earlier, but it's off now.)

Let me get down to book editing so I can enjoy some of the sunshine a little later.   I hope you have a great weekend, and thank you for visiting my author blog.

Pretty day in tropics ... few sailboats in distance ...

Thank you for stopping by my author blog. It's a pretty day in the Caribbean.  I'm grateful for God's beauty. A few sailboats are taking their time cruising about the Caribbean Sea ... the water is mild, calm, this morning. I can see it from my little apartment balcony.  (Uh-oh, my neighbor just cranked up his reggae music ... I suppose it's not too loud -- considering this is a vacation, beach community, and it's high season, but it's a lil' distracting for "Sweetwater Cove, Alabama," the setting for my next novella. Focus, Cassandra ...)

Pecking away on my next romance novella:  Finding Love in Sweetwater Cove. Hope to tie things up by 4:00 PMish today so I can get a long walk in down by the the beach. Also have to hit the grocery store for a few things for dinner this evening.  I think Shark Tank repeats are on tonight on CNBC -- also, maybe The Profit, too. Need to call big sis to find out. The plan is to be in well before dark. Still so much to do, but I am loving every second.   Let me get back to it. My characters are talking to me this morning (Heather-Anne McCreary and Jake Coleman). Let me give life to their banter.

I hope your weekend is off to a great start. Working on next romance novella, Finding Love in Sweetwater Cove. 

Just finished boiling my drinking water for the day. The hard water in Jamaica  is killing my system. Will pick up a few jugs of spring water today. Don't like lugging them from the grocery store up the hill to my apartment, but my tiny coffee pot can only take so much. 

I hope you have a great Saturday on tap. On this end, more marketing and writing. Then I'll head down Beach Road for my walk. The afternoon will be filled with more writing. Afterwards, I look forward to a nice evening at home.
